Colorblocking and Subtlety!

As much as I like to go really bold with color blocking I’m still learning and taking only my baby steps

I went to work last Friday wearing a subtly colorblocked outfit which ended up with people telling me the color combination looked pretty good. So I’m happy! 😜

I have worn this denim shirt one before here!
For this look I paired it with a plain peach T-shirt and black jeans.
From a single staple black T-shirt I’ve gone onto owning a pink, a peach and a white plain T-shirt. I love the fact that they can be so effortlessly paired and lend themselves so well to be layered or when we want some other piece to be the hero of the look!

While for the photoshoot I tied up the bottom of my denim shirt-turned-jacket, I had it fully open during the rest of my day. 😆

A bit too casual for office ya think? I thought so too. LOL! 😂 Oh well! What has been done has been done. So long folks 😘😜 Have an amazing week y’all!

  6. You have such a contagious smile! 🙂 And the outfit looks great on you – casual and simple, yet sweet. As for work? You have to be at your comfortable best to be productive. 😉 I have a similar denim shirt that I keep buttoned up and like to pair with cuffed denim jeans in a light, faded shade.. Denim on denim? Works out pretty well for me. 😀

Yes I seek comfort in dressing in my posture and the way my small cubicle is set up because that has such an impact on productivity! Yes the denim on denim look I go for too once almost every week! I mean denim jeans are comfortable and when it’s the same material above too that’s a win win no? 😂 hifi on that haha!!

      • Jeans are like my go-to saviors! My mom says I have way too many so basically, when I go shopping with my mom, buying jeans is kind of a no-no. 😀
        High five on that! We’ll keep the denim on denim trend alive. 😛

      • You sound so much like my sister..hahaha its the same condition for her too. She has two to three pairs in the same color…she says they differ in terms of shade-length-fit..but all that falls on deaf ears..hahhaa 😂 it’s funny to see my mom and her argue so I can so imagine the scenes at your end. Hahaha!

      • Oh, but your sister is so right! They do!! 😛 Several months back, my grandpa’s sister came to visit and she used to call me ‘a boy’ since I only wore shorts and jeans. During the latter part of her visit, I made it a point to wear skirts, dresses, and kurtas just to please her. 😛 Old people can be funny sometimes. Can’t mind them.

Just that she might not even take that little effort to please that relative. I on the other hand play it safe right from start to finish. Yes I’m boring like that. 😂
