Of Indian Prints and Western Twirls ~ Ft. Tadka by Madhu

My favourite kinda clothes are the ones which resonate Indian but come with a small western twist to them! That’s why Madhu’s Tadka popped from the hundreds of other vendors on Instagram for me!

Madhu, a fashion graduate got into the apparel industry about two years ago. She saw a void in the affordable western designer wear segment and decided that’s the space she wanted work in. While her successful retail brand Tadka is the label which gives her the media presence and recognition, she does a lot of commissioned orders too. She works with all types of Indian prints and fabrics like Ikkat, Kalamkari and Chikan work which she sources from across India and creates magic with them which take the shape of Bodycons, Fit and Flares, Maxis, Palazzo Pants and Shorts to name a few! 🙂

When we decided to Collaborate, I went over to her store and immediately fell in love with one piece and thats what I decided to style in our first post together. Take a look! 🙂

Madhu currently has a store in TTK Road from where she operates and she also specialises in, like the above list of her specialisations wasn’t enough already, maternity wear and plus size fashion too!

For this post I chose a beautiful and beachy Ikkat print maxi dress from her collection and this is how I styled it! 😀

Maxi dress scream laid back and beachy to me and that’s why my styling for this dress was minimal. I decided to pair the dress with some oxidised silver jewellery and a pretty clutch from Madhu’s collection again!

While the look I went for was simple and minimal, you could always add some dimension to the look by pairing this dress with a pair of tan brogues, a denim jacket and top knot with absolutely no accessories.
