Buy Rice Back – Ft. My Name is Kumar Foundation

About the My Name Is Kumar Foundation

When Renee Schreurs and Tim Loonen came to Chennai in 2012 little did they know their life was going to turn upside down. Being associated with the CARE foundation, Netherlands born couple Renee and Time came for a six months visit to Ozhalur which is a small village near Chennai. When it was time to leave they realised they had created such lasting bonds with the children there that they knew they had to do something in order to provide better quality of living and education for these kids, (their kids almost!), and that is how the MyNameIsKumar Foundation was set up.

This voluntary, social organisation, supports the CARE foundation in providing all the resources required to lead a complete nutritious and a well educated and balanced life for 37 children who if not for this foundation would have to resort to begging to fend for themselves coming from the abject poverty they live in and cannot even think about education.

Story behind the Funny Name

One day Renee and Tim were taking around a few kids who were old enough to join schools to all the local schools so that it could be decided which school they wanted to join and this one kid called Sathish had a lisp and was finding it difficult to spell his name without stammering. This earned him some amount of teasing by the other kids. So when the Principal of the next school asked for his name he was quick to say “My Name is Kumar” which had everyone rolling in laughter. It was this quick witted moment which gave this foundation its name! Let’s meet some of Kumar’s friends who are now part of the 37 kids. Find more such pictures at www.mynameiskumar.org

What we can do to help

For four months every year, this couple are in India looking after the needs of the foundation, meeting people, crowdfunding and spending time with their 37 kids and the in house volunteers who actually take care of these kids

The main source of raising funds by this Organisation is through the http://www.buyriceback.org/ movement. The entire South India uses and reuses its Rice Bags as rice bags at first and they as mattresses and carpets because they retain warmth. This recyclability of rice bags got this couple thinking about the fun ways of reusing them, and just like that the spark to recreate them into useful things like totes, big shoppers, makeup kits and laptop sleeves was born! Proceeds from sale of these articles beyond the basic cost goes fully to support the needs of the My Name is Kumar Foundation.

Photoshoot Time!

It was a few months ago that I happened to meet this inspiring couple through a mutual friend (Hi Jaydeep! 😋) and we decided to do a mini photoshoot featuring these bags and laptop sleeves (and Renee and Tim in Indian clothes which they looked adorable in!) which by the way are so colorful that they are such a fashion statement and we had so much fun doing it. Here are the pictures!

One Pencil Skirt Two Ways

What’s a Monday without a post from me right? Wrong! Don’t tell me you were wondering why I dint post a post on Monday…I wouldn’t buy it even for a second but yes lament about it I will! Due to some technical glitches faced by this technically severely challenged fashion blogger (I had to convert CR2 files to JPG…nope I dint know how to do that 😬 judge me!) I was unable to post yesterday but fret not here I am with a new post and this one today is about a pencil skirt which I came to own a couple of months ago. Now a pencil skirt can be a tricky piece of clothing especially for the ummmm…how do I put this subtly…the pear-shaped people like me! I have always shied away from them but then I realized I could make it work if I paired it with the right blouse. So here’s how I used my pencil skirt to create a morning and an evening look (both however shot in the afternoon…sorry you should have seen that PJ coming 😝💁🏻)

Morning Look

For the formal look I kinda toned down my bright coral-peach skirt with a teal shirt which hit the right length such that it covered the problem areas well enough 👍

I kept the look pretty simple with a gold tassel long chain I have been obsessed with and a coral flower earring. I opted for my Zara flats which are both comfortable for an all day use and a bit dressy too with all the gold detailing.

A close up under some white light so that you can see the 1) winged eyeliner swag I’m pulling off 2) the actual color of my top and 3) the winged eyeliner swag I’m pulling off…oh yeah!

Evening Look

The evening look was without doubt so much more exciting to create! I’m the most comfortable person in bubble tops but I find they do absolutely nothing to accentuate our figure so when I realized I could play around with the blouse since I had a structured skirt my hands instantly reached out to this fun bubble top I love!

This attention pose has become something of a favorite though everyone around actively hates it 😂

For this look I decided to carry my golden glitter clutch and I brought out my much used and abused glitter pumps. I traded the quaint tassel chain for this chunky peach beads and completed the look with my used and reused cat eye glasses!

And again a closeup shot because forgedaboutme just look at that cute kids face painted 😍

That would be all from me folks 😍 Enjoy the rest of your week and hope you feel inspired enough to bring out and flaunt those pencil skirts which have been sleeping in your closet for a while now. Ciao!

FestiveFun IndoWestern ColorBurst!

Hi and GoodMorning my lovely readers! Hope you had enough and more fun this past weekend to take on Monday headstrong! 😛 As a final part to my festive fun theme here’s my last IndoWestern fusion look. I have paired my palazzo pants which has shown its “flair” on this blog long ago with a contrast kurta and a colorful dupatta! Let’s go straight into the look!

I love this pink and blue combination and I often wear this kurta to work with blue bottoms. So pairing it with these blue palazzos were a no-brainer!

I completed the look with a topknot and a gorgeous pair of heels in the same colour scheme!

Sorry about the squinting in every photo! We shot this look in the afternoon and the sun was in my eye at every angle!

Another way of wearing this look and making it look a little festive is wearing a tank top and wearing the dupatta around it knotted at the waist like a jacket! Take a looook!

My beautiful neckpiece is seen at last in this look! Yayyy 😍

Such a look is so easy to recreate because who doesn’t have palazzos these days and they look gorgeous with kurtas. Also, if you are one of those girls who has lost interest in wearing jeans then these outfits are the way to go babe trust me! Advice from a person who’s been there and done that!

Outfit details : Kurta and Palazzo pants – Fabindia; Heels – Flipkart; Square long chain – Sundari Silks; Tank top (racer back) – Jockey; Dupatta – Mom’s very old and Unknown!

That’s all from me folks! Hope you enjoyed this short and sweet post! Please tell me that you’ll try recreating this look for the festivities ahead! Have an amazing week! May all your to-do lists have nothing but satisfying strike throughs by the end of this week! 😂😃 Ciao!

IndoWestern FestiveFun OutfitIdeas!

In an attempt to make the most of the festive season while we are at the end of it I bring to you another indowestern outfit you can try for functions and festivals. Warning : whatever be your age this outfit will make you look (and feel) like a 12 year old (assuming you are older than that ofcourse) so be prepared 😋now that I have given you the heads up, let’s jump straight into the outfit!
This ikat printed skirt was a piece I bought nearly six months ago. It has been lying around without being worn only because I did not have a top for it! With the skirt I had bought this mustard running material but who does tough things like going to the tailor and getting it stitched right? 😐
So recently I decided it was high time and I pushed my lazy ass to the tailors and told them the exact pattern I wanted (courtesy : YouTube and Pinterest 💃🏼) and once the top was done, voila! A grand outfit was ready! 😍

This is a beautiful printed skirt with so much flair! It gives a school girly charm and makes for a great outfit to wear while visiting friends and relatives for Navrathri I have in one occasion before stitched an halter neck blouse for a saree and I realized halter neck makes your shoulders and whole profile look slim and that’s why I decided to go halter for this top.

I completed the look with a set a gold earrings (chandbalis?) and a tan brown pair of jodhpuri sandals. I decided to wear nothing on my hands or neck and thought that really made the outfit the king.

I loved the way these colors and prints have worked together and created a killer outfit which is very wearable and affordable! Add a bindi and a set of three dots to the sides of your eyes and on your chin and who knows you might even be outfit ready for garba (a Gujarati dance form which happens through the night through all nine days of festivities) 😍Hope you enjoyed the outfit and more importantly you are thinking of ways to recreate it 😃

Outfit details : Skirt ready made and top material – Shilpi Alwarpet, stitched by – Vasthra (my tailor), Joshpuri Sandals – very old bought at some exhibition by mom (for mom 😋), Earrings – Kushals, Watch – Tommy Hilfiger

Have a great week ahead readers. You’ve sure started it off well by reading my post 😉 here’s a twirling picture of me like I have not a care in the world ! Enjoy! 😆

Festive Chic! + Giveaway Winner Announcement

Hi all you lovely readers 😍! The only thing I am looking forward to after a long weekend is a short painless week which I hope runs away quickly!!

Moving on, Navrathri is right around the corner and I thought a good way to get back to my Fashion game would be to give y’all some inspiration for looks you can recreate this Navrathri! So stay tuned!

I bet everyone of us has this odd lehenga/ghagra/dhavani we are kinda ashamed of now because it looks like we just stepped in and out of a rainbow carrying the entire frikkin VIBGYOR out with us! One such Dhavani I own my is this one! (Don’t laugh 😐)

While I individually love the blouse and the skirt I hate, with all vehemence I can muster, the Dhavani or the green brocade portion of the attire. So I decided to tone down the whole look by just using the skirt giving this look a much needed twist!

That’s right! I wore this bright (I’ll blind you with this skirt type of bright) skirt with a very plain ethnic Kurti or short top!

It was like an explosion in my head when one day I saw this Kurti and this skirt lying next to each other in my closet and I thought why not?!?

It’s grand and underplayed at the same time and it is the perfect look for a function or a party/reception

The mild embroidery along the length of the top gives it a very traditional touch making the pairing so easy!

I completed the look with a pair of violet heels I bought over a year ago a sneak of which is shown here!

This is a look you can easily recreate for the festive season this year by pairing a bright piece with a sober one in the same colour scheme! I’ll try and add a few more outfits you can recreate this Navarathri to look fab and festive while going light on your pocket too!

Outfit Details : Skirt – Material from RmKV, Chennai and designed and stitched by my Tailor, Top – Shilpi CP Ramasamy Salai, Heels -Flipkart, on my lips – Lakme Absolut hi-Definition Matte in the shade Pink Caress

Basic Makeup Hacks and how to Get Started – A Guestpost + Giveaway!

Hey Ladies!I am so glad to write this post for Shilpa, our friendship goes back long in time, about 5 years back when we used to be colleagues. I still remember her suggestions to me for wearing formal clothes to a client in Delhi, haha! I knew there was something in this girl even then 😉 Shilpa has given me a great opportunity to write a post on makeup after seeing my collection! I want to thank her first for noticing my interest and giving me a stage to share my thoughts. Okay, now right into the post!

I never really thought too much about makeup until I decided to do my own makeup for my engagement and wedding. I was inspired by one of my close friends who did this and I was closely helping her. It was so much fun and you don’t need to be worried thinking what some random person will do to your face on your wedding day! That thought used to scare me a lot, so I stepped into the makeup world myself to explore and decide the way I want to look myself!  (I make it sound like some big venture, LOL)

I am not going to be talking about bridal makeup of course; it is a wideeee topic and involves many products! However, as I learnt that, I discovered how to use few products to make yourself look bright – where people can’t say whether you have or do not have make up, just that natural look, highlighting your best features! I thought it would be best to share those tips here 😊
I will try to keep the number of products as minimum as possible, but please pardon me if I go overboard in a few places 😀 I am going to split it into face, eyes and lips as usual.

Face

  • For a natural look, I usually don’t prefer to use any liquid foundation. For me it is just about touching up the face with a powder based foundation with light/ medium coverage. Try a Compaq powder if you want very light coverage.
  • The product I recommend here is the MAC studio fix foundation powder; you can build this foundation powder to give more coverage as well. I know this is going to be pretty expensive, but I would spend the money on a good foundation since it is the base for your make up. If however,  you want to go for a cheaper product I suggest the L’Oreal true match series – they are my all-time favorites. A great alternative to the MAC one!
  • Next, BLUSHES. I love blushes! I think using a neutral/ light pink blush gives you a natural look. It just adds so much sheen and color to your face. You can use a matte blush if you want a morning look and shift to mineralized blushes which come with a glow for a night look!
  • Again here I love MAC Petal Power blush! You can use a little for a light glow and build on to it for more glow for a night look! Honestly I haven’t tried many matte blushes, because I feel a blush should make your cheeks glow rather than just sitting there matte if you know what I mean 😏 Of course, everyone may not like it, so for matte finish I recommend the Revlon Matte blushes. If you want to go glowy (like me) then a cheaper alternative is the NYX baked blushes, I just loveee this product! It just makes your cheeks pop and make you look super cute, definitely recommend it! 👍

From left to right: Milani baked blush, MAC studio fix foundation powder, MAC petal power blush

Those are the two basic things for the face. If you have lot of under eye circles, sorry I have to say that you need some sort of a neutralizer and a concealer (like me :/) But  I don’t use it for a natural look, they are a part of my face and I won’t let it bother me too much for an everyday look!

Eyes

  • Eye Shadow : When it comes to eye make-up you need to shape your eyes and give them some depth so that they look nice and gorgeous. I recommend using a neutral palette for an everyday look. I love to always add a tinge of pink when it comes to my eyes! I don’t go for dark colors because I have dark circles and without properly concealing them, a dark eye shadow will make the eyes look even darker. That is something to remember for those who have dark circles around your eyes.
  • I recommend using the Revlon/ L’oreal/ Lakme netural eye shadows. I also have a MAC palette which has one light color, one dark color and one light pink color.
  • So to sort of take you through it, use the dark color just on your crease to give some depth and shape to the eyes, the pink one on your lids and the light color under your eyebrows. That is the basic pattern, just apply these colors and blend them together for an everyday breezy natural eye shadow look! (Shilpa here hi guys! I really had to poke my nose here at this point and add, I realised adding white eyeshadow below your brow bone and ever so lightly to the inside corner of your eyes really make them look wider! My limited gyan I have now passed on to the world!)

From left to right: MAC eye shadow palette, Lakme 9 to 5 series eye shadow palette

  • Eye-liner and Kohl : I sometimes use just eye liner since I have dark circles; I try to avoid the kohl since it may smudge. *Tip* : to avoid smudging, top your kohl/ kajal with some black eye shadow, it will not smudge since the powder will prevent smudging!
  •  I love the Maybelline master precision eyeliner! In the Lakme series, I love the plain old liquid kajal, it is one of the best things I have used! For Kohl I recommend the Maybelline kajal and MAC Kohl
  • The best part of eye make-up is…wait for it…MASCARA! Believe me, whatever eye make-up you do, it will not be complete if you don’t finish it with mascara. If you want to go that extra step, applying mascara after curling your lashes will make a bigger difference than just applying mascara.
  • I recommend L’Oreal’s mascara or Maybelline mascaras. Benefit’s mascara is really good too! I haven’t tried any high end brands, but I have used Dior once and that one is great too!

From top to bottom: Benefit they are real mascara, Lake eye liner, Maybelline master precise eye liner, MAC black Kohl

Lips

  • Once again for an au natural everyday look, I prefer a nude+pink color. In the picture below to create this color, I mixed a peach and dark pink color. I have always had a hard time finding a right color for indian skin tone in the US, I found this mix of colors to give the right blend I wanted, these lip colors are from Lakme! I also like the colors from Revlon and MAC. The NYX shiny lipsticks they are a personal favorite too!
  • If you have some discoloration on your lips, use a lip liner before you put on your lip stick. A beige/ nude color would do the job perfectly; I use the NYX/ Revlon lip liners. This will form a great base to your lipstick and make it look seamless.
  • Another great lip tip – just like how you moisturize your face before make up, don’t forget to moisturize your lips as well, put on a lip balm when you start your make up so that your lips are ready for make up by the time you get there 👍

From left to right: Revlon lipstick, Lakme lipstick, NYX Lip liner

From bottom to top: NYX lip liner, Lakme lipstick, Revlon lipstick, All blended – notice this color is between a nudish peach and pink – I thought this perfectly suited my skin tone and the lip liner has given a strong base to the two lipsticks which make the lipstick look flawless.

Oh and one last thing, I didn’t mention about brushes I used, mostly for this look I used the small brushes that came with the palette and also my hands of course. If you are interested, I suggest owning a couple of brushes for the face and one for the eyes (mostly for blending the eye shadows)!

Finally in the pictures below.. The natural everyday no make-up/ make-up kinda flawless look I created for a casual Saturday shopping with all the above mentioned products, but I used a concealer since this post is too special and I definitely wanted to make the make-up special, haha, anyway all the other products are just the ones I have listed above  (P.S. you can see that the blush on my cheeks becomes a bit glowy when the light hits my cheeks – the last pic was taken in the night in front of lights, please ignore my bag behind 😋)

Overall, I hope this post was useful for you people out there and I hope it inspires you to try on make-up and feel dressed up and festive about yourself during special occasions or even daily to office!! I am not suggesting going overboard, but believe me a little of it will make you feel good 😃

Oh and I hope you guys had fun reading! Take care you all!😊

A note from Shilpa : Deepika has explored makeup from scratch in a span of couple of years and I thought she ll be able to teach all girls (like me) who want to start their makeup journey but just don’t know where to start it! Recently I saw this picture on Deepika’s wall on Facebook and that’s when this guest post idea struck me and we got talking and the rest I would like to grandly claim is history!

Customised Sneakers – A DIY

Do you have a Pinterest board full of these beautiful hand painted sneakers which is all over the internet now? Then you’ve come to the right place!

Do you love doing DIYs as much as I do? Then you’ve come to the right place!

Are you randomly going through my blog because it popped up on your RSS feed? Then you’ve come to the right place (just kidding…but stay anyway please ❤️🙏🏻)

So last week I had a day off and I decided to do something fun! 😍 And that’s how this customised sneakers idea was born 😊let’s jump right into the DIY!

Things you’ll need

Step 1 : Draw half circles using the coin throughout the shoe. You might want to imitate the design on one shoe more or less equally and similarly on the other shoe. Also decide right at this stage which are area which will have the design and which parts of the shoe are going to remain blank!

I decided to have the design throughout the sides of my shoe and the flap inside and leave the top portion plain

Step 2 : Since my theme was watermelons I painted the half circles red. Since a lot of layers and coats are going to come above this red don’t worry if the paints or the borders are not too precise.

Step 3 : Paint the background with any neutral or contrasting shade. I went for black. I decided not to paint the flaps inside to give it some black and white effect. Unfortunately I forgot to click pictures at this stage. 😟

Step 4 : Add the detailing required to complete the watermelon. Draw a first outline with a dark sap green and the next outline with a sort of light minty green. Add the seeds inside. I went for white seeds because that stood out better than the black seeds!

Step 5 : Allow the shoe to dry for sometime and touch up all the areas which require some perfecting and touching up. A second coat does make a significant difference!

Note the difference between the previous image and this one! Magic of an extra coat!

Step 6: Lace it up and flaunt it like it’s nobody’s business! HAHA!

Hope you’ll enjoyed this DIY! Please try it soon and tell me what you painted and how it went! 😍

My Nightly Skin Care Routine!

Ever since the last post came up about skin care people have been asking me to share my skin routine! And I thought the only routine I religiously follow is the nightly one and so it would be only fair to talk about my nightly routine in detail with you guys 😊

The thing about skin routines is that whatever you read up about it on the internet it is in the end a rigorous trial and error before finding the products that work and don’t for your skin. I for one tried three brands before finding something that worked for me! So let’s get started!

For the past six to eight months I have shown unwavering loyalty to one brand for my night time routine – Kama Ayurveda! Now I know this is not so friendly on the pocket but this was pretty much the only brand that worked for me so I have learnt to love it despite its price!

My routine is the usual CTM -cleansing – toning – moisturizing because that helps my combination skin breathe easy all night!

Step 1 : Remove Make up

The first step would be to remove the make up that has been working on your skin through the day. I use the MAC Gently off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover because it works like magic to get off the almost goth like edgy eyeliner and kajal I have on through the day!

Step 2 : Cleanse

To wash my face I use the Kama Ayurveda Rose and Jasminr Face Cleanser. Of all the Kama products this has to be my absolute favorite one! I have never used a face cleanser which doesn’t lather much but still removes the oil and grime just fine like this one! The lazy me loves the fact that literally two splashes of water does the trick 😝

Step 3 : Tone

For toning I use this light and lovely Kama Ayurveda Pure Rosewater. I spray it on my face and let it on for a minute to sort of sink in. A chemical toner should at this point be wiped onto the skin with a cotton pad and not be allowed to stay on the skin I suppose but this being natural rose water I quite like it to remain in my skin so that’s where it stays.

Step 4 : Moisturize

Once the toner rose water has sort of sunk in I Moisturize my skin. I alternate between two products in this step. One day I use the Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion and the on the next day I use the Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid.

The Blemish Fade Night Lotion does exactly what it claims. It calms down the acne and irritated skin and even closes open acne scars. I love the pump packaging it comes in. The trick in moisturizing is more to do with the massaging rather than the actual product itself. Take a small quantity of the moisturizer that works for you and ensure you work it into your skin in wide circular motions on your cheek forehead and in up down motions on and below the sides of the nose and your neck.

The KumkumadiMiraculous fluid is a potent oil which works it’s magic just like that! Just two drops of this liquid does the trick for the entire face. It doesn’t matter that you have oily skin. This fluid works on your skin through the night and gives it a beautiful glow the next morning once you wash it off. The packaging and smell are a slight put off but the results make up for these shortcomings.

Step 5 : Moistize the Lips

The last step is moisturizing my lips. Now this step I have added to the usually prescribed routine because I’m a person who eats up the lip balms I use through the day 😐 I also have a tendency to chew my lip while concentrating at work which really makes my lips a wreck! So I apply a lip cream or balm through the night so that my lips are back to a chewable condition the next day 😋

Step 6 : Sleep Tight!

Ya that doesn’t need a picture does it! Haha 😉

So guys that’s my nightly routine. It’s always good to have such a night routine because that’s the time your skin gets some solid time to rest and the least we could do is make it feel better with this simple CTM routine! 😃 all the best finding the products that work for you! Honestly it’s a long drawn process and finding your skin’s calling could take months! So do it slowly if you must but start off soon all the same because trust me it does make a difference!

Have an amazing week ahead readers! Hope you enjoyed this post! ❤️

A selfie just because! Haaaa! 😘

Seasonal Transitions – Winter! Cold but festive and happy!

It’s Monday! Lalalala 😍 I’m jumping with joy for Monday means posty-toasty day! Say yay for its Monday! ❤️ so I’m bringing the month long theme seasonal transitions to an end today with this exciting post about winter! Now winter as I’ve told you’ll several times before is pretty nonexistent in the tropical country I live in but hey it isn’t wrong to be fashionably prepared for a winter that might strike someday is it? Like what if you went on a penguin siting expedition and got stuck in the arctic circle one day? Ok..ok…what if your husband suddenly got a transfer to Alaska and you got to make lively there? Got you thinking dint I? Good now let’s move on and start of with our three looks for this winter babaayyy!

First up, Sandhya’s look

Now this cutie decided to look really chic and classy in her winter clothes as well and she transitioned from this warm pink light cardigan autumn look to her thick full arms body hugging tshirt with her wooly infinity scarf.

Since her skirt was the staple she did worked around the other elements like adding black stockings and edgy black and studded heels. I think she looks like an absolute stunner what do you say?😍😘

Also, thank you Sandhya for making this whole theme look so glamorous! It was wonderful and so easy and comfortable working with you. 😍

Next, Anusha’s look

Now Anusha retained her violet pants and her grey boots and replaced her grey sweatshirt and denim jacket with this light yellow crop top sweater! So cute!

This sweater may have been short but it was so cozy and comfortable to be in. You could always wear a full tshirt to cover your midriff whenever you want to go cropped for your sweaters! The gray gumboots were perfect for this season as well and hence we decided to retain it for this look!!

Finally, Shilpa’s look

Before I start of with my look I’m sure many of you are probably going to hate it and so I want give away a few disclaimers 😂 this look is so laid back and it’s probably for one of those days you just want to run some errands in your locality and then go back home and re-watch Friends for the millionth time. That said, let’s get started 🙈

Well…what do you think 😃! For winter I retained my black maxi skirt and replaced the tshirt and denim shirt with a warm sweater! I also went from femine heels to my white kicks to complete the outfit

So this was a sweater I bought from Oasap.com for a vacation and while I and everybody who would have ever worn this sweater would have paired it with a pair of tights I decided to change things slightly with this look! And that’s why I look like a fur ball – warm but pretty unshapely! Haha! But who cares about how chic they look when at home or when they are going nowhere significant right? So for those days you can try this look I hope!! 😍😂

That would be all from me folks! I hope you loved this whole theme! Your comments are what keep me motivated so please keep them coming! Did you like all the looks? Which one did you think was the easiest to achieve? Do tell me! I’m all ears 👂🏼 love you! ❤️

Oh and P.S.: in case you were wondering, we thought it will just be wrong to have a photo shoot in broad daylight because it’s such a green summery place where I live and hence we waited for it to become twilight and then carried on with our shoot because we figured that was probably the only way we could get the winter effect!! Thank you Pranav for the awesome photography as always ❤️

Seasonal Transitions – Autumn! Layered Mild yet Happy

Hi everyone! I’m back with the next post 🙂 and this ones about autumn 🍂🍁🌾 at last I’m on track with these seasons and bringing out an autumn post when it’s actually going to turn autumn in countries where four seasons exist. (If you’ve been reading this blog you’d have heard this rant a billion times – the place I live in, has just two seasons summer and rainy summer 😐😝)

So this time around we retained the concept of Sandhya wearing something short Anusha wearing pants and Shilpa (me) wearing maxi skirts! But for autumn and winter we changed the staple outfits! Let’s dive right into the look and you’ll understand what I mean 😃

First up, Sandhya’s look

For autumn Sandhya decided to keep it light and floral below and warm and cozy above..! So she has worn this skater skirt (oh how cute 😘) with this peach cardigan/light sweater! She had kept the rest of the look very simple with very basic makeup and completed it with her nude pumps! What do you think? 😃

Next we have Anusha’s look

Anusha’s look was all about comfort this time around too! So she switched from her palazzo (which she wore for the first two seasons) to these comfortable jeggings/tights thingy … For the top she wore a turtle neck sleeveless sweater and this floral jacket over it! She completed the look with these amazing boots Sandhya lent her and that was it!! I thought the jacket looked adorable with the whole outfit and added so much funk to the whole look and so did the boots 😃

Finally! Shilpa’s look

My look was very autumny with my all black and a pop of blue kinda outfit! So I paired this beautiful maxi skirt with a plain black tshirt and over that I wore this laced denim crop top (courtesy my sister 😋) and completed the look (which in my opinion was the best part of the look as well) with these super matching powder blue pumps.

The light layering in every look made us believe it will be just right for a light winter or autumn and that’s why we went ahead with these outfits! What do you think? How would you have played with staples like short skirts, maxis and pants for autumn? Do let me know 😘😊

P.S. Thank you Pranav for making us so much prettier than we are with your amazing photography 😍
