The white shirt has become a staple in almost every wardrobe, guy and girl alike. But what is it paired with? A blue jean (yes the combination totally rocks) or formal black/grey pants.
Another great pairing with the white shirt are a pair of tan pants. What works for the look? Maybe the fact that its still taking baby steps to becoming a fashion staple unlike its cool black n white and black n blue cousins 😀
The combination is killer and it is good enough to even pass as formal wear to work 😉

Happy Sunday folks 🙂 Hope your weekend plans are up and on in full swing! So my tacky title says it all about my next staple fable. Its my undying love for this light, breezy and oh-so-comfy material which has made me an ardent worshipper of the beautiful kalamkari. For people living in tropical climates such as myself this material is such a relief.
Wear it as a kurta with a plain single colored bottom, or as a pyjama/palazzo (check them out here) or you can even decide to go kalamkari krazy like me and go in for kalamkari jackets like these :

You get these cool jackets and lots of other pretty awesome stuff at hands of india. (Pst…pst.. There is a sale going on on that website currently…hurry 😛 )

Say hey to my first recurring segment staple fables! Cool name n all huh 😛 and what better way to start off my fashion staples segment than with the fun and funky beaded chains. ❤ ! So its Thursday  and the ghosts of weekend past have long gone and ur work load is piling up…the last thing on your mind is dressing up. Now that is the perfect excuse to spice up the otherwise boring kurta you have thrown on (just because that was the first dress you could lay your hands on) with beads 😀 They are cheap, bright and brings any attire to life. Be it Indian wear :

Ya I had short hair before because I tot twas cool, ya beads are the cooler cousin of the new found “statement jewellery” .. Ya I’m off to bed now!
